In-Network Coverage
I am currently in-network with Cigna Health Insurance.
Out-of-Network (OON) Coverage
I am an out-of-network provider for most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits to offset the cost of therapy. Depending on your plan, your insurer may partially or fully reimburse you for sessions.
If you're considering this route, I recommend calling your insurance provider before scheduling and asking specifically about reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health services provided via telehealth. If you move forward, I'll provide a Superbill, an itemized receipt you can submit directly to your insurer for reimbursement.

It's a fair question, and one I think is worth answering honestly. Here are the three most important reasons many of my clients choose to go the self-pay or out-of-network route.
1. Insurance requires a formal mental health diagnosis, which becomes a permanent part of your medical record.
To bill your insurance, I would need to assign you a clinical diagnosis. For some people, this is a non-issue. For other clients, particularly those in sensitive careers or anyone thinking about future life insurance coverage, a permanent psychiatric diagnosis can have real implications. You are more than a diagnosis, and I want our work together to reflect that.
2. Using insurance can affect your confidentiality.
Beyond the diagnosis requirement, insurance companies can request additional details about your treatment. When you pay out-of-pocket or out-of-network, what happens in our sessions stays between us, not between us and a managed care reviewer.
3. Insurance plans can limit the type and length of treatment you receive.
Insurers can restrict the number of sessions you're approved for or the treatment approaches they cover. Self-pay gives us the flexibility to work in the way that's actually right for you, not whatever a plan has decided is standard.

Cigna Clients
Your cost depends on your individual Cigna plan. Contact your insurance provider and ask about your benefits for routine outpatient mental health therapy delivered via telehealth. Rates are subject to change based on contracted rate adjustments, and you'll always be notified in advance of any changes.
Self-Pay Clients
$200 per 50-minute session (effective 01-01-2026)
Rates are subject to change, typically at the start of the new year. You'll always receive advance notice of any upcoming changes.
Out-of-Network Clients
$200 per 50-minute session (effective 01-01-2026), before any out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer.
Because every OON plan is different, I encourage you to confirm your specific benefits directly with your insurance provider. See the question above for guidance on how to do that.

I accept cash, check, credit card, and HSA. Use whatever works best for you.
Credit card payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant platform that keeps your payment information secure and your confidentiality protected.
-
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before starting services. As a provider working with uninsured and self-pay clients, I provide a written Good Faith Estimate that outlines the anticipated cost of your therapy sessions based on the information available at the time of your request. If you have questions about your estimate, please don't hesitate to ask.

The first step is scheduling a free 30-minute consultation. This call is a chance for us to connect, talk through what you're dealing with, and see whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure and no commitment required. If it feels right for both of us, we'll schedule your first session from there.

No. A diagnosis is not required to work with me. If what you've read on this site resonates with you, that's enough. Many of the clients I work with have never had a formal diagnosis and don't need one. What matters is that you're ready to do the work and start feeling better.
-
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's been going on, what's brought you to therapy, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. You don't need to have it all figured out before we start. I'll help guide the conversation, and we'll build from there.
-
You can talk about whatever feels most relevant or helpful to you. There is no required agenda and no right or wrong thing to bring up. Some clients come in with something specific on their mind that week. Others want to work on longer-term patterns like perfectionism, burnout, anxiety, self-doubt, or people-pleasing. Most sessions are a mix of both. This is your space, and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you.
-
Most clients start with weekly sessions, which tends to build the strongest foundation early on. Over time, we may shift to biweekly or monthly based on where you are in the process and what feels sustainable. We'll figure out the right cadence together.
-
Results vary, but many clients notice meaningful shifts within 4 to 6 weeks. Deeper, longer-term change typically develops over 3 to 6 months depending on your goals and how often we meet. Your goals, your starting point, and your engagement in the process all play a role.
-
Yes. Most of what you share in sessions is confidential. As a licensed therapist I am bound by strict ethical and legal confidentiality standards. There are a small number of legally mandated exceptions, such as situations involving imminent risk of harm, but outside of those, what you share stays between us. If you have specific questions about confidentiality, I'm happy to walk you through it during your free consultation.
